Bontrager Trip 100 problem
This might be a silly question but I’m sure someone on here has dealt with it.

I have a Bontrager Trip 100 bike computer. Last year it worked great and was dead on with my Garmin 920xt in terms of time and distance. I took the trip 100 off for my winter training on the trainer and just got outside a few weeks ago. I’m having a lot of trouble getting it to pair when it’s on my rim. It works fine holding the chip close to the computer but as soon as I mount it to my rim I lose the connection. I have the sensor as high on the spoke as it can go and I have it 3-5mm away when it goes by the magnet. If I hold the computer close to it, it reads no problem. Is this something as simple as a low battery? Will new batteries make the signal stronger? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

battery swap is your best bet, bet they are close to dead.
