Bonking - running vs cycling
Is there a reason I would bonk WAY quicker running vs cycling?

I have been doing mainly cycling lately and just started up running again. My run today crushed me, but I felt well-fueled before hand (I did it about 2 hours after lunch). Granted it was hot today, but it felt like I just couldn't move my legs very well or for long periods.

Thoughts?

sounds like, thus far, it's just once. My guess would be, just a bad day.

Is this a serious question? You really can't figure out why you would bonk quicker doing an activity that you haven't been training as much?

Did you really bonk? My understanding of a bonk is when you run out of glycogen. Such as at about 20 miles of running without any effective refueling. You can exhaust your muscles to the point that they are quite ineffective before that occurs if you are not well trained.

Or you could just be heat stressed. I talked to a sub 3hr marathon guy yesterday who was finding his 15 K runs are exhausting lately. At 50 years of age he ran a 17:30 5 K two weeks ago but we have only had serious heat for a few weeks.
