SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Scottsdale police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect in a bicyclist's death.
Authorities say 58-year-old Bryan Blair succumbed to injuries Wednesday stemming from last month's incident.
Blair was riding his bike the evening of Feb. 22 when an unidentified man deliberately stuck a long metal object into the front spokes.
Blair was thrown over the bike. He was transported to a hospital where he had remained for the past few weeks.

Bizarre is one way to put it. My wife showed me this story last night and it just made me sick. Someone should go to jail for manslaughter here.

Wait, isn't that what the Italian team did to Dave in Breaking Away?

When reading this you wonder how much more sick some people can be. What a tragedy!

Yessir, that we do, that we do. Pre-meditated. Jail is too good for some folks.

If the astute killer in this case had chosen a motor vehicle for a weapon instead of a lead pipe, there would be no crime here to even talk about. People are so dumb.

The US has issues when it’s a “petty crime “ resulting in a more serious outcome than intended.

The penalty should hinge equally on the outcome and not just the original action. That would force people to think about their actions.

Right now they assume they can get away with petty things wih possibly violent outcomes because of this.

Like killing another motorist or pedestrian or cyclist in an incident. I’m sorry you view it as a “little slup up”, but you killed a person.

So yeah, even the minivan mom of 3 who kills in a car accident should get hard time. Like 5 years in the pen, minimum.

We have to stop saying that small things that lead to big problems only deserve small punishment.
