Biking on Oahu: Rentals and Must rides
Hey Gang:
Going to Hawaii for the long New Years weekend. As the title states, we want to do some riding when we are there.

Any recommendations. We are staying near Waikiki, will get a car / suv if need be to get out of the city and ride.

Thanks,
Pete

Most rides from town go out Diamond Head, to Kahala Drive, Left at the golf course and Rt at the corner of the freeway. Straight out to Makapuu, then on to Waimanalo or even to the Marine corp base. There are some back road loops in Waimanalo too. Other bestest don't miss ride is Tantalus/Roundtop road. 5 mile hill climb in the most beautiful environment you will ever see. Have fun

Get in contact with Island Tri and Bike for a bike hire and hooking you up with locals riding. Walking distance from Waikiki beach, particularly if you are staying down near the zoo.
