Bike Stand Clamp on Aero Carbon Seat Post?
Greetings -

Common sense tells me not to use my bike workstand clamp on my new, carbon aero seat post. If my thinking is correct, then where do I clamp it? On the frame? I thought I read something saying to never clamp stuff on the frame...always use the seatpost.

Thanks in advance!

RD

Get an old round seatpost and use that when it is in the stand.

Never on the frame.

Red Dragon,

Park Tools makes a specific tool for this purpose. The Park Internal Seat Clamp, part No. ISC-1. Nice thing to have for a high end bike if you have a work stand. Costs about $45.00 though. Might be small potatoes though if it protects $2000.00+ frame or $150.00+ seat post.
