I am visiting Clermont in a few weeks and was looking for Bike route recommendations. Looking for maximum elevation gain and minimum traffic. I know some forum readers have done the Great Floridian and understand there is some descent hills on that course??? Thanks in advance.

Two suggestions. (1) Go to www.triflorida.com, hit "course maps", then hit "Lap 1 of Florida Challenge". Ride is somewhere in the 35 mile range and takes in most of the local "attractions" - including the renowned Sugarloaf climb and Ferndale loop. (2) Stop at Fred Sommer's office (Central Florida Triathletes) in old downtown Clermont and they'll have lots of maps for you.
