Over the last 4-5 years, my shoes have been getting holes in them just above my big toes. It happens faster on my left foot than my right foot. It’s across all brands I’ve tried, so clearly my running form and my walking form are causing it. Is this from heel striking or is there some other common cause? I keep my toenails as short as possible so I don’t see that being cause.
