Big chainring or Little 56 or 50 ?

Hello
Search the forum for data but I am not yet decided.
I use a 56T qring dish for every day including races.
Normally I use the center of the cassette, but the days that I need the whole cassette there are, I have spent days of wind in queue, or long descents.
My cadence is always between 95 and 105.
Although in the ftp test I'm between 85 and 92, it's better for me.

Now I have to buy a new plate.
Do you have any studies links that tell me that I should buy 50T instead of a 56T for better efficiency?
Now I have 56/44 11-28
Crank 170

From already thank you very much.

Sorry my english i use translate

Larger gears are more efficient for a given chain line.

As said above - bigger rings are more efficient.

A third option would be to buy a 58 chainring. Your gears at the slower end wouldn't be affected.

hi
Very thanks

Qring does not have 58T
And I do not say it makes me roll more or less power, but I like the feeling of the qring.
Although in the route I have a round and I do not notice difference.
Thank you

what rear gear( or gears) do you spend most time in?

are you running the chain line straight?
can you go to a 12t cassette with a good chainline?

what I'm getting at is, from a mechanical point of view, you should get better efficiency from increasing teeth at the back than increasing them at the front, if you can do it without compromising your gearing.

Hi
At this moment I have 11-28
What would you recommend me?
Cassette and chainring

In training I have been several times in 11.
but usually the wahoo informs me that the preferred one is between 15 and 17

Very very thanks

hmm,

tricky one, its always subjective, and dependant od the race, but I would look at a 12-25 cassete, as it will give closer steps to get you nearer to your preferred cadance, unless of course theres any hills where you need the lower ratios.

that will keep you where you are on the cassette, which is roughly in the middle, but you'll have more one tooth steps, and then dial the front chainring to get the chainline sensible in the most used gears.

5 noviembre 70.3 buenos aires.
it's a flat circuit
I'll see if I can get cassette 12-25 and try it
Thank you very much
