Best bike fit in Colorado?
Who have you used?
Who do you recommend (or recommend avoiding)?
Any before/after data is also greatly appreciated

I haven't had a fit since ~2010, so I figure it's time to rectify that. Leaning towards Ivan O'Gorman up near Boulder. His prices are high but seems to have a very solid reputation. He also offers a lot of different services 3D Retul vs. 2d vs. STAC vs. Bioracer Virtual Wind Tunnel. 3D Retul seems like the most comprehensive starting point

Just did a 2:12 bike split at Indian Wells 70.3 and looking to find some "free" speed

Mat Steinmetz at Colorado Multisport in Boulder - I had a bike fit session with him and enjoyed it. He's very knowledgeable and very down to earth. I'm still on the fit he set me up with 2 years later.

or

Sean Madsen at Denver Fit Loft in Denver - My girlfriend was fit at Denver Fit Loft by Sean and I can't recommend him enough. So much so, I plan on booking a session with him. He took a lot of time to answer any questions we had and even went down a huge teaching session about the physics behind bike fit, etc.

What about getting on the Track in C-Springs w/ Jim@ERO to do some testing? I've heard great things about Matt & Ivan, but maybe doing some testing on the track could help you dial in things a bit better and find that "Free Speed" you are looking for?

There are 3 guys, all in or around Boulder, that are world class and you cannot go wrong with any of them.

Ryan Ignatz at Colorado Multisport
Matt Steinmetz, who fits for his company 51 speedshop but does so out of Colorado Multisport
Ivan O'Gorman who has a studio in Niwot.

I have had very positive experiences with Mat and Ivan, as well as Jason Williams at the Specialized Experience center Boulder. He has worked with all the World Tour Specialized sponsored teams.

You won’t regret any of those 3, just a matter of what fits your schedule best.

Some really good answers here! I'd also talk to Zack Allison in Fort Collins if you're down in that neck of the woods. FIST certified, and just beginning to ramp up his fit business.

Tech writer/support on this here site. FIST school instructor and certified bike fitter. Formerly at Diamondback Bikes, LeMond Fitness, FSA, TiCycles, etc.

I'm sure the Boulder specialists are great, but I would definitely recommend TriBella & Denver Fit Loft (based out of the same building).

I have used Colorado Multisport recently and got some FREE speed. Ryan was great and did a superb job.

Sorry for the minor thread high jacking, but I am looking for someone to help find s better seat that would help with hip rotation. Do any of these guys do the pressure mapping and /or have a good selection of seats?

I seem to remember CMS having a saddle trial program that does not require getting a fit. I would bet all those fitters have a well thought out system for helping clients choose saddles. I'd call them. Tell them I recommended them when you speak to them :)

This ^^^... Have always heard great things about Steinmetz, and I previously raced for the mens tri team through Tribella/CTC/DFL and they are great people.

Yes, they have a saddle trial program.

As for the three fitters above, By reputation alone, they are the top 3 triathlon fitters in Colorado. They all work with pros who regularly are on the front page of this website--as well as those on the front of every pack you're going to see on the planet. They come from all over, just to get fit by these guys. You won't go wrong either way. Ryan & Matt work out of CMS but Ryan is an actual employee of CMS, Matt uses the shop for fits, no idea where Ivan works out of. He used to be at Retul HQ but haven't kept up with whereabouts.

Jim is based in California. I know he's been to Colorado Springs once or maybe twice, but that's definitely not his usual habitat.

Doesn't hurt to ask when he will be back? I know he's done some testing there before, that's why I mentioned it.

But good point, should have mentioned it's not his typical testing grounds.....

Yeah, no plans to come out that way anytime soon. It's an Olympic year, but most of my testing for the team will be done here in LA. Plenty of good fitters in CO!

I would like to add Colby Pearce to the list of great fitters. He is in Boulder.

He does an extremely detailed analysis of your posture, mobility and has a saddle demo program with SMP.

Can't give enough props to him.
