Be my bike Dr.

Got about 2 miles in this morning then "crack".

Is this a broken seatpost or can the top part just be replaced?

I imagine that it could be repaired but I suggest a new seat post.

What bike is it?

.

Once, I was fast. But I got over it.

It's a Cervelo Soloist - about 12 years old I think. I'm sure sweat just ate thru that piece in the back.

I'm headed to the LBS in a bit.

They actually had a used seat post that fits...crazy bc it's a 12 year old bike and the shape is not "normal". They ordered me a new one. I'm paying about 20 bucks more than ordering online but I'm also going to be able to ride this week now.

If they have a used seatpost that fits, why are they ordering a new one for you?

It was my choice. The used one fits. But it doesn't look perfect. It's tight but it's not exactly tight. For the extra 100 bucks I'd rather get the perfect fit.

I mean that's literally the one thing besides my handlebars I don't need failing at 35-40mph.
