Bar mounted H20 bottle, different take?
Anyone mount a water bottel on their extensions, above their arms? If so, what did you have to do to achieve that?

It was suggested to me as a way to fill the gap between arms and head. my arms are <1cm apart for most of the extension length, hands touching, then small gap where wrists are then back together near pads. not sure how one would configure that. Don't want to widen arms out, as this position works for me, no power loss, less drag

thanks

pics of any such set up would be appreciated

strap to arm in a bottle holster?

What about the HED "lollipop" bottle mount that connects at the headset cap?

Or a King Cage top cap mount. Kingcage.com. Mount it backwards and it could be far enough back to clear your elbows. For $12 shipped, could be worth a shot.

You can get a side view of my setup on the TitanFlex customer service rocks thread.

I have the same problem----arms too close for a bottle to be between them. I've thought of using an aerobottle between them or the king cage.

Could you ziptie a bottle cage onto the "stem" of your bike?

the thought here is to close up some of th egap between the arms and the head/face

i don't need water for most of my TTs, too short. only when really hot, might I actually need one. but to meet jackmotts need for aeroweeniness, must try to minimize drag by seeing if that area could be filled. above forearms, below head/face not behind elbows or on stem, etc.. good options if needing to drink, but not the issue here

thanks all

have you tested a modified praying mantis position? Would do what you're talking about.

I think you'd have to make something otherwise.

arms more up wasn't working for me, doesn't mean one doesn't want a gap filled, just means the way of filling it might have to be different.

sure, I understand just trying to picture it using Brad below:

Strapping a bottle to your forearms wouldnt necessarily be faster than no bottle at all, I'm intrigued what you come up with though.

The best solution in this area that I have seen is:

http://www.aerohammock.com/

It can be removed and mounted quickly. Doesn't rattle around. Works with all kinds of different bar configs. Holds bottles or other stuff if a bottle is not in there, as the case may be( standard water bottle cages can't to this)

I am surprised that I have not seen more of these around. Brilliant solution!
