BMC Timemachine TM01 and TM02 front fork swap
Quote | Reply
I have a TM02 and for some reason I have been researching the idea of putting a TM01 integrated fork on my TM02 frame. I cant find anything online about whether the frames are identical besides the fork but does anyone have any idea if this is even possible? After watching the video below, I am almost convinced that the only difference between the TM01 and TM02 is the front fork and you can install a TM01 fork on the TM02.

Has anyone ever done this or know if the frames are identical?

Hi,
I remember when I bought a Tm02 several years ago, being told by the shop owner that if you could get hold of the fork and stem of the Tm01 that it would fit. He did emphasise the "if"....

That "if" is all I need. There has to be one somewhere...

Called a shop and the mech said it's possible. You can order it through bmc but you need your bike and bmc has to have it. He said its not impossible but it will be a process.

The brake on the TM01/TMR01 fork is incredibly crappy. While it looks smooth with the integrated brake, it comes at a cost.

I wish you suggested this for the TMR. I would trade forks with you.
