B2VT 2018 - what a ride!
For those in New England/the northeast looking for a challenge, this is an awesome, well-organized ride that is definitely worth doing. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/27595387 149 miles with over 9300 ft of climbing on mostly quiet scenic roads; this years route was changed about two weeks ago due to road construction in Vermont, and the re-routed version added 15 miles and a 6.5-mile climb towards the end. The weather on Saturday was perfect (high of 75 with light winds and low humidity). Climbs were tough but manageable as long as you sat back and got a good spin going. I've been wanting to do this one for the past few years and am glad I did it, couldn't have asked for a better day. https://b2vtride.com/

I've done this ride the previous 4 years but I had to miss this year. Very well organized and the new route sounds pretty awesome. The front pack can be pretty fast with the likes of Dean Phillips and others, last year I hung on until the last 20 miles or so after I blew up on the Petro climb.

I do feel that it is too expensive compared some other similar rides but you do get a pretty nice Pactimo jersey and the rest stops + post ride bbq are pretty awesome.

Cool and congrats. That was/is a great event.

I did it back in 2010 - one of the last years of the original route that ended at the brewery in Windsor VT.

It did get quite pricey but my son just got a job in Boston so I have additional motivation to go back. Hmmmm...

Thanks for the update.
