Just got one in our Playtri store in Madison. While I have not ridden it YET, our bike fitter and head mechanic say it looks very awesome and would be a lot of fun to ride. I tend to agree.....

for the OP, there are two threads on this on weight weenies. go to google and type argon dark matter site:http://weightweenies.starbike.com/, and the results should pop up

general consensus is that it's a well-built bike, albeit on the slightly heavier side (at least from a roadie's perspective)

off on a tangent, what Madison area fire roads/gravel (and perhaps even single track) would one take this bike?

I can check around but I know there are tons of trails from here that are the crushed limestone. I talked to a friend the other day who rode from Madison to Dodgeville on the trail (https://dnr.wi.gov/.../name/militaryridge/). There are quite a few others as well, but the area around the Military Ridge trail can be some amazing hills in the Blue Mounds, Dodgeville areas...

You're quite welcome. If you're in the area, we are expecting a number of more gravel bikes any day....
