Anyone with experience in recovering from glut medius tears?

I was keen to hear if anyone on here has experience with recovering from glut medius tears? About a month ago I developed pain very well localised to my right iliac crest, as in almost pinpoint tenderness in a certain area. My coach is also a physio and we initially treated it as a potential TFL injury but carried on with a pretty decent training load (long runs were 26k, long rides 115k/3.5-4 hours). As it was getting no better and was worse after a recent run I saw my sports doc and we were able to get an MRI done quickly, the MRI shows a decent glut medius tear with a small fascial defect.

Am keen to hear what others who have had, or have looked after people with this injury, can share. My running was really coming along nicely for off season training and I was looking forward to hitting race season in October (yes our race is going ahead, HIM) with some decent fitness. I have no idea how long I may be out of action with running for.....any shared experiences are welcome.....
