Anyone know what helmet this is?
I was getting ready to do a 1 hour effort yesterday and testing various helmets.
A friend suggested that I try this one..by pure perception felt really good...aero.
So I used it. On a windy night and a slow track did this.

Anyone know what it is?
I gave him $40 bucks and kept it.

Looks like but that's not a giro logo and there's an extra third vent on the back

Maybe a Taiwan copy then but it is a copy of an Air Attack

I thought the Air Attack tested very poorly for aerodynamics. Could this be a case of the "imitation" is better than the "original."?

I'll go ahead and point out the obvious.

48kmph at Rock Hill on a training ride. Slow, outdoor track and on par with the fastest amateur hour records in the world.

Wow... I did not click on the link until you pointed this out. 398 average watts for an hour (well, strava estimated. Strava probably does not know how aero he is!).... 30 mph. FAST!

It looks exactly like that..just different paint.
It's pretty light with visor and all. 281 grams.
The price is actually quoted at $33.97..I think that you have the price for the visor alone?

Anyway...I definitely feel it's worth $40...lol
Gonna use it in a high tempo road ride with some young bucks this afternoon.

Doesn't look certified, based on questions and answers on amazon, so might not be worth lugging it to an IM race just yet.

Depends on how much you value your head but I value mine higher than put in a $40 knock off with no certification. I wouldn't ride with it.

Well, I guess you need to weigh that risk against a watt or two.

I've wondered for a while how aero the typical skater bucket helmet would be in a head-down position... Or even a K-Mart cheapy with minimal vent holes. Anyone want to do some Chung testing for me?
