If you're not careful there's some character who keeps posting under the name "Gerard" who claims to own a small Canadian bike company advertised at the top of the page. He's not very bright, but claims all sorts of unique stuff for his "P3" bike. He's very persuasive, though, because there are many among the regulars here who have fallen under his spell and purchased said bike. . .Rare is the negative word you will encounter concerning this mysteriously popular bike, though there are some who consider it the antithesis of cyclery. . .ESPECIALLY if you hang ShimaNO on it. . .so beware. . .

All joking aside, you're fairly new here. . .Gerard, co-founder of Cervelo is a regular here, as are multitudes of P3 owners. You'll certainly find all you need to convince you to lighten your wallet on one of these. Just make sure you check in with Tom Demerly about the importance of FIT. .

The P3 is a great bike. . .if it fits you. I can't get a 700c model to feel right, set up the way I like, so, for me, the P3 is a terrible choice. . .

yeah the P3 is a great bike, I personally like my Cannondale Ironman 5000 a bit better but I think that's just because it's lighter. You can't go wrong with the P3 unless it doesn't fit you, but as you heard earlier you might be asking a slightly biased crowd. But when the bias is right...

Oh, and there are posers like this so-called "Bjorn" feller who claims to be the guy in the picture of the ad at the top of the page. That creep has enough folks on here snowballed into believing he's really that guy that chicks post 1/2 naked pics for him. ;->

The sight of a lovely P3 has been known to incite a certain frequent poster on this BB to manipulate the bishop to the point of wrist injury. Most everyone else thinks its OK to love your P3, just don't LOVE your P3.

I love mine but have two complaints (all the possitive outwieghs the complaints); if you look at the paint wrong it will chip, only one bottle mount (not a real issue).

Feel free to message me with any questions. I'm laid up in bed with broncidus (spelling) so I might be slow to answer.

Don't have P3, but a P2K. Really like the bike...seems "fast" enough...fits me well, etc... But I really hate only having 1 bottle mount. Hate using the bottle launchers, but have to. I probably would look at the blade or typhoon if I had to replace the bike though.

I have a P3, "Bjorned out" with a low front end and Dura-Ace. It is a very, very fine bike.

I own three tri bikes right now and it is currently tied for my favorite but is occasionally my favorite. I doubt there is anything faster. It was easy to fit for me and went together very well.

P3's are a classic. Outstanding design and nice workmanship. I have had no problems and I'd tell you if I did. I love mine.

I got a feeling this bike is like the Dura Ace vs. Campy showdown. His cats will eat it. Like Dr. Dooms Titanflex got stuck in traffic.

I hate being kept from bike porn.

Hello,

I have been selling Cervelo bikes for about two years now. I see a lot of tri-bikes and have ridden most of them. I have ridden a Blade, Cannondale, Kestrel, etc. I own a P3. This is what I liked about the bike: stiff without the rigidity, comfortable and fast. I think the most important thing you can do is ride a lot of different bikes. Everyone will have a different experience and opinion about the same bike. When spending the type of money that you are for the P3 with Dura-Ace 10, make sure that the shop fits you before you ride the bike. Having the stem too long or the seat in the wrong position on the test ride does not serve your purpose. I think the P3 should be ridden if the forward position. If you choose the "relaxed" position, the top tube will seem quite long. So, the bottom line is
  • Ride a lot of different bikes to form your own opinions about the ride quality.
  • Make sure the sales staff fits you to the bike prior to the test ride.

I hope this helps.
