Any idea on how to get a slot for sold out 70.3 New Zealand in March..? (for my wife)
The race barely had a couple of hundreds of participants in the last few years, and is sold out this year...

Tough crowd.

Can't help you with the slot, but all the best in your triathlon and health journey.

Probably because of the WC there next year. I raced there in December and I rate that race only second to Kona in my experience. You may try emailing the race director. I did that for the December race and she was very helpful with me finding a rental bike. Good luck!

You could email them and ask if there are any Ironman Foundation slots available. It would come with an extra donation to the foundation on top of race fees.

It sold out last year too (the March 70.3). Sorry, only option is to HTFU and to the 140.6. ;-)

Note that I tried begging / pleading on behalf of a friend last year (I was entered in the full, he'd had his bike broken in another 70.3 so DNF'd). Was a no there.

Sorry, but you've left it just 4 days too late.

Hi everyone!!

Thank you so much for the messages and the support.
I'll try to message the race director, and ask about the IM Foundation, but understand there is limited hope there (slot would be for my wife - no way she is doing the full IM)

Thanks!
