Scott's day 12 re-cap should be mandatory reading for anyone who is interested in elevating their performance in triathlon - or any other endurance sport. I have said it before and I will say it again, there is no silver bullet in training for endurance sports, but if there was, it would be exactly this type of training, if not in practice, at least in philosopy. Ditch the "training program", the HRM, the special zones, the special diets, the fancy training tools and aids and get out the door and push the limits, I mean REALLY, push the limits. If you do this over and over again, with the right amount of rest ( read that last word carefully again, that's right, rest) you will get improvement!
