Aero Wheel vs. Disk - Benefit?
I know this has been discussed on the Forum about a million times, but I would appreciate if it were discussed once again.

What benefit, in terms of time, can a person that rides arond 22/24mph (around an hour for 40K) expect by switching from an aero wheel (Zipp 404 in this case) to a disk (Zipp disk with 404 front in this case).

I guess the disk will be ridden on flat courses for the most part, so lets assume a flat course for this example. Wind and other variables we can assume to be "normal".

Thanks

Helps keep your momentum going, but it'll kill you if there is any sidewind at all.

In the book "High Performance Cycling" Cobb and Martin claim that the difference over 40 kms of a disc over a good aero wheel for riders producing 100, 200, 300, and 400 watts is 16, 12, 11 and 10 seconds. Not a huge difference. However, as mentioned, your bike may even feel more stable with a rear disc.
