I’m looking to buy a bike that is listed in an online forum.

The bike is exactly what I’m looking for and the seller seems genuine, however this deal is getting done over phone and email (we live 3000 miles apart). Ultimately I will be sending money to someone I don’t know for a bike I’ve only seen in photos.

Any suggestions for ways I can protect myself in this transaction?
