2XU Bike Short Replacement?
I recently discovered that 2XU quit making bike shorts. What are folks' favorite brands? I had tried DeSoto but they are not comfortable in the TT position due to the horizontal front stitch, and I seem to chafe a lot more with them.

I am looking for something long lasting that will work in the TT and road position with good padding and some compression.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm a fan of the Castelli Free Aero Race: https://www.castelli-cycling.com/...ort/p/451900321P-010

I find them mildly compressive and the seamless X2 pad is great. Castelli is euro sized, so you may need to size up compared to the 2XUs.

Very few bibs are made for the aero position, so pad preferences are going to be individual. The X2 is the pad Castelli uses in its high-end skinsuits, so they (hopefully) have done some testing in the TT position.

I use the 2XU compression tri shorts. I find all bike shorts uncomfortable in the tt position. However, I only tried 2 before and figured I just don't like thick padding.

I have about 5000km on my Castelli Free Aero, and also recommend it. Can't speak to TT but my road bike position is pretty aggressive and I have no problem with 300km days on a minimally padded saddle at 87kg. They're super comfortable and I like them enough that I don't plan on trying any new bibs that don't come with the same pad.

Assos, I other brand fabric is probably better but I don't anyone come close to how good their chamois are.
