A few years ago I remember seeing a post regarding a Speed Concept owner who had his own bolts made (not sure if it was SS or titanium) but I cannot seem to find the post after searching the forum. I live in FL and seem to go through these bolts every couple of months, basically the bolts on the saddle clamp are shearing off completely. I have tried all the recommended cleaning after every ride, lubing etc. Everytime I need this replacement kit my LBS does not have it stock and has to order it. It takes over a week for Trek parts to send it out to them. Luckily I have a spare bike to ride but this has happened several times and always a few days before a race. I started buying spare bolt kits to have as a backup. But now it appears even Trek is back ordered on these bolts. My question to ST group: has anyone had these specific bolts casted? How did you go about it? Thanks for any info!
