If there is any changes I guess we would see them at TDF.
Any rumors or pictures?

who is the flagship Trek triathlete? Used to be Lieto, then Lance, now...?

From what I can find of the current roster online (suprisingly difficult to do) I'd say Tim O'Donnell or Joe Gambles.

My LBS is the "Trek Shop" in the area and one of the guys is the shop-HQ liaison and he said Trek doesn't really "favor" one athlete anymore. They do what they can to support/promote all their athletes (who are getting results).

In a race, its really all about the ENGINE. Fit any of those guys in any of the top five tri bikes and they will still do well. Cancellara did well in both the Cervelo and the Trek. Anyway, you get the point.

How are the engines guys?

Sorry don't know how to add a pic but link below should show the new SC. I can't see any visible wires. But honestly couldn't tell you what is different given i don't have one.

Is it just me, or does the fork look different?

looks like it has a novel spacer system, with one riser holding up both the aero extensions. The aero extensions could be one piece, splitting away to form two grips, judging by the clamp and the aero bar pads being further outward than the clamp.

Maybe they got the idea from this:

If there isn't a big reveal at the TDF my guess would be August. That's when the dealer show is.

I suppose there's a chance of an athlete riding an unbranded 2014 SC in the TDF, but given the rumors about updates to the cockpit I'd have a hard time believing this would fly below the radar if it were intended to do so...

I'm hoping, and it looks like it should be possible, that you can just retrofit this new front end/fork to the old frame. Doesnt appear to have changed much from the fork, back.

If so, count me in.

probably not... I'm thinking that like the P5, Trek are taking non-UCI legal elements and incorporating them into their SC, like a 6:1 bar and a 6:1 fork.

It looks like there are less Kamm tube sections, so perhaps 6:1 airfoils as well.

Lots has been discovered in the last 5 years about what shape of airfoil to use and where on a bike and how it interacts with the rider, so that's probably what they're up to. Bars seem like a gimick.

this does not bode well for O'Donnell or Gambles.

Its hard to tell from that pic. But you might be right.

It also appears they've filled in the bottom bracket area. But again hard to make it out though.
