Has anyone who ordered one got theirs in yet? 14 days out from my order for me will be Wednesday, no word from my LBS on exact date yet.

Also, still looking for the new speed accessories, nothing on Trek/Bontrager site.

14 days out would have put me at last Thursday and I too haven't heard a peep.

FYI,

http://www.trekbikes.com/...ns.php?questionid=89

600 Series OCLV - Advanced aerospace materials and weight-saving, performance-enhancing processes such as Step Joint technology provide the best frame weight/stiffness combinations in the industry.
700 Series OCLV - The lightest, strongest carbon lay-up in the cycling world, built from military grade materials available only in NATO countries. 700 Series OCLV is the ultimate combination of superior modulus and superior strength, and it's only from Trek.

Bummer, I wouold have liked 700 in the SC14.

Carl, I recently ordered a SC module and wanted to be 100% certain what battery / mounting bracket I need for a Ultegra Di2 install. Will the SM-BTR1 battery install inside the seat tube or do I need to purchase the SM-BTR2 battery? Also, will the module come with the relevant mounting bracket for the battery? Thank you.

I got a message from my LBS that Trek is running two weeks behind schedule.

For an internal battery installation you need SM-BTR2, which hangs down from the seatpost inside the frame via bracket w332400.

Battery mounting hardware is only OE on complete bikes with electronic shift kits.

Carl, you're awesome.

is Campy coming up with an internal battery? i saw the picks of the Campy SC on TriRig. its a shame the battery is still on the BB. can i assume that's why EPS is no longer in the Project One menu?

Thx Dave. My kids might take issue with that assessment sometimes ;-)

Clueless on the P1 EPS MIA...and you'd have to ask them about internal battery designs...nothing I've seen so far would fit inside any of our tubes. To be fair, it did take Shimano a while to make that happen too.

Carl, thank you very much for the prompt reply. If I want to do the Di2 myself, how do I go by getting the w327559 bracket? Also, I'm assuming this is a Trek part #,correct? Should I reach out to my local shop? Thanks again.

Yes, you would work through your local Trek dealer for any necessary parts.

My Trek 9.9 Equinox TTX is the only tri bike I've owned, but I have been thinking about upgrading the bike with the Ultegra 6770, will that system work on the Equinox? Also can I use an internal battery? Or I may just go with the new 2014. If I did my research correctly my Equinox is built with the 7 series OCLV red carbon, but the 2014 seems to have a lower quality carbon construction. Why was this done? By the way I love my Trek and support my local Trek shop.

working backward:

there's nothing lower quality about the carbon in the 2014 . what we called red series OCLV on the TTX represented the best of what we could do at the time, but our improvements in layup and joint design among other things would probably make the old red series fall into the 400 or 500 series of today.

as for Ultegra 6770, the TTX design predates Di2 integration by a year or two , so I think you have trouble putting it on internal or external without significant frame modifications...mods which would void your warranty and be completely untested from a safety standpoint .

Did you actually have seen a new 7 series? I did last week and they are exactly the same except for the carbon used.

Ummm, you must be way inside the inner circle in Waterloo

Carl, can you comment on if the chain stays are similar on the new bike to old? In other words will a wheel builder cover on the rear still cause a bit of interference with duo trap? Thanks.

I would say Trek World next week will tell the true story of the SC 7 front end.
I'm guessing a Madone type fork/brake combo for the 7 Series

I've been caught out by a stalker... The proper number for the seat post battery bracket is w332400

No change to the stays in this respect...which is to say, some cover&wheel combos work fine, and some may require a little extra work to bring the nondrive side in closer to the spokes (some tape from the inside).

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a 60mm wheel + cover to me :) Thanks Carl.

What day did your order actually go to Trek?

Mine was July 18th. I was told it would be in next week sometime. I was hoping to have it before IM Canada but that's not going to happen as TriBike Transport is picking up my bike on Wednesday. I guess I'll just have to make due with my shitty old 2011 Trek SC 9.9. ;-)

2 weeks ago Thursday. Just checked it out, looks fast but won't get a chance to pick up and get fit till get back from IMMT anyways. It comes with four stem risers, you need to figure out your stem cause changing it requires pulling out most of the cable back to the stem.

I'm confused on the stem part. I ordered it with the Low/Far stem. I assume you're talking about the piece between the base bar and aerobar?
