2011 speed concept seat post slipping
Hello,

I purchased a 2011 speed concept frame and have done everything I know to get the seat post to not slip. It moves down rather easily. I bought a new wedge (and one that doesn’t fit worth the frame). I applied friction paste and still nothing. Had anyone had this issue and found a fix? Any help would be appreciated. The photo attached is the wedge that came with the frame. Here is a link to the other one I have. Sorry here is a link to the other one I have

The first Gen SC had some issues with undersize seatposts and defective seatpost wedges. It looks like you have the update wedge so it the post is slipping it may be undersized. You can add some shim material in front of the wedge against the frame pocket to push the wedge tighter against the front of the seatpost. 3m aluminum tape is a good option or you can cut pieces from an aluminum can.

Tubular glue (let it dry / do not insert the seatpost in the frame before it's dry 24h). Don't put too much (2cms line max). Once it's dry, add a second coat and let it dry. It should prevent it from sliding. If you put too much, then it will be hard (or need diluant) to move the seatpost.

Thanks for the tip. The link to the second wedge my seat post actually won’t fit in there. It is too big. The smaller wedge the seat post will tighten down but if you move it back and forth it starts to slip down. Even gentle pressure it will move. I may have the wrong size seat post all together.

Thanks. I will check this out as well. Starting to think I should have just bought a complete bike.
