1x gearing question on total tooth count
Quick question around moving to a 1x system. If I want to use a 48t ring and 11-34 cassette on training wheels, can i then swap in a 50t ring and 11-32 wheel for racing. Will derailleur settings and chain length be optimised for both? Assuming cassette and rotor alignment between the wheels is otherwise good.

Thanks in advance.

There are calculators for this type of thing, but without looking it up I don't think you have to worry. There's almost always a little flexibility both ways on chain length unless whoever set it up before cut it absolutely as short as possible. I switch my setup between 11-28 and 11-32 pretty often and don't bother with the chain at all.
