Yes. Today we sold a bicycle to a man whose first name was "Ng". As in, "November, Golf". That's it. just "Ng".
Sounds just like it looks.

That's pretty common Vietnamese name. Nguyen is also very common. As someone else said, it's usually a last name.

I once taught a student whose surname was "kitipornpark".
Her first name was 'umaporn'.
