1080 = 1 or 2 iron

Just took a 1080 out for a test ride. 14-15 mph winds, me 147lbs with skilz (not mad skilzz). Managed, yes...HIM comfortable, NO. I remember someone posting that the 1080 was a serious tool and an can't agree more. Props to Contador at 130lbs and Lieto with conditions (I know he doesn't ride Zipp, but it looked to be something as deep).
With Fire Crest coming on line, I'm unsure if used ones (1080's) will be more plentiful and cheaper, but I would urge caution.
As for me if the winds are over 10mph, I'll have to leave my ego and the 1080 front in the bag.

it can be a tricky wheel in the wind, zipp has mentioned how the steering torque can switch directions on your as the yaw angle changes.

I would go with the 808 for most long triathlon use.
