i picked yates and sivakov for the top 3.
i'm not quite ready to write sivakov off but i'm close - his teammates just need to drop him again and he's done.
i think yates has a real shot at podium - he should ride a great tt (not remco or roglic like - but maybe 3rd?)

this vuelta like most editions makes the winner earn it with plenty of tough finishes. who will wilt the least? sticking with remco and doubting mas can avoid a stinker day (though matching remco on these first 2 steep finishes is crazy impressive).

is vine a teammate of fdj? they sure as hell rode hard for him all day. pinot owes some teammates some work for them

Hopefully after tomorrow, Ineos can finally assign an unambiguous leader. Watching four guys all race for themselves chasing Roglic, Mas, and Remco isn't a great look so far....

I do not get Ineos' tactics in the last 2 years. They have more leaders than domestiques in every GT... how do you build a house without builders?

The Ineos 4-man plan never seemed like a great idea. (Of course they didn't know I'd given Carapaz the kiss of death by picking him for my fantasy team.)

No hope now for Carapaz, and Sivakov was a long shot at best for a GC place.

I'm still thinking TGH found lighting in a bottle at the 2020 Giro, and a top-10 here would be unexpected, but who knows.

It would surprise a lot of people (including me) to see Rodriguez hold on to a top-5 place. Maybe top-10?

Never liked the Ineos by committee stuff. Get Rodriguez and TGH working for the Siv, or some combo of that and be done with it. Rodriguez maybe is the guy. JV gets star guys to do the team thing and it appears to be working.
