$1500-$1800 bikes

I'm just wondering how much aero advantage does a bike like a P3 have over the $1500-$1800 bikes?

Would a Renn disc and a three spoke front wheel make one of those bikes the aero equal, or better of a P3, or similar high end bike, with standard wheels?

Yeah, but I don't think I can be a poser on my P3 with my Velocity wheels either.

I just want my Slowtwitch elitist snob medal if I finish an IM under 13 hours.

Without any testing or anything behind it, my opinion/guess would be that a aero wheels make a bigger difference than an aero frame.

My Softride Qualifier TT was around $1800 and since it has no down tube is reputed to be more aero than any double diamond bike.

Go on the Cervelo site and there is theoretical aero data for the original One (not the current model), P2K and P3.

A P2k with a disc or wheel cover and an aero front should be a bit more aero than P3 with standard issue wheels.

I thought an aero frame had a minimal advantage and aero wheels had the maximum advantage? So if you want to get aero, get aero wheels first. Oh and aerobars.

- you are a top age grouper trying to get to Hawaii,
I hope to qualify next year for Hawaii with my One (1499.-). I see no reason I need another bike It is about the training and not about the bike.
