Have you done this race before? If so what is your overall impression of it?
It's mainly a vacation for me and I've arranged to rent a low end road bike but am having second thoughts
and might have mine shipped.

I did the sprint last year. It was very nice. Swim is in the ocean in clear waters (we had to swim against current and wind last year) water is nice temp. Bike is dead flat into a headwind on the way out, but along the ocean for a number of miles until you get on US 1 for a short period (very picturesque). Run wasn't anything special, but was fine.
Very good vibe. I would go again this year if I didn't have a work conflict.
