Ya. Why not. Can I finance that over 48mo. with GMAC?

Kind of over-kill, but I guess someone out there will buy it!

This is what cyclingnews.com has to say about it...

"Perhaps a bit outrageous, you say? Maybe, but if you're a well-heeled empty-nested baby boomer looking for a top-end toy, this is a hell of a lot cheaper than dropping coin on an exotic car, a fast boat, or a raging coke habit. When you think about it, it's really not all that different from buying a Honda Accord in terms of cost, but the experience is more akin to a custom Lamborghini. That doesn't necessarily mean that we don't think it's outrageous, too, but we still want one."

If I had that kind of money, I'd be putting in my order now, but with Sram Red levers & derailleurs instead of Campy. Keep the campy cranks, and I'd want a Cinelli Ram style bar / stem combo, but with a custom angle to the bars. Also, a pseudo integrated seatmast would be nice, with a cut down Thomson masterpiece seatpost at the top.

Nice but for 27k I'd want a stereo and for it to serve tea and scones at 3pm

The wheels look like they're from LEWRACING. With a hefty pricetag showing 6000$ for their cheapest wheelset, it all adds up quite quickly.

But, I wonder how much a proper butler would run me these days...

Lew has a new wheelset that weighs about 740 grams with a price of $15K.

price of $15K.

Sounds perfect for racing Cat5 criteriums. (any criteriums, really)

I'm guessing that this is to test the BMC marketing strategy, to see how high people will go.

It seems to me that the people who buy a lot of these bikes buy them because they're that expensive, not despite the price.

That bike better parallel park itself.

For a bit less you can get Inspector Clouseau's servant and brush up on your martial arts skills.

Incidentally, I saw a cool ad for Audi (I think) a week or so ago. The car for people who know how to park.
