A few days after Wildflower a few weeks ago, I had this shooting pain in my foot. Near the ankle, but on "the top"; there is a small bump, like a hard bug bite, and the area from the ankle upwards is swollen. Since the race, when I run or bike, it is suddenly painful and feels like electricity coursing through the foot--when the nerve is hit. My conclusion is my 3 year old Mizuno racing flats have caused an irritation and subsequent cyst that touches the nerve. There is also some swelling around the area.

Have any of you experienced this? If so, what is the remedy?
