"Smaller" Triathlon Apparel Brands
Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you know any smaller brands for Long-Arm Tri-Suits with good design (200-400USD)?

I hate that at any given Triathlon everybody runs around in the same suit and am looking for some more unknown brands.

What I have looked at so far:

Ryzon: Great minimalist design, but too popular since Frodeno is wearing it.

Wattie-Ink: Some better designs, but nothing that blows my mind at the moment

Love-The-Pain: Some great designs, but unbelievable bad customer service

Kiwami: Great Pricing, but Design Sucks

Do you have any suggestions?

Love The Pain has cool stuff, but I won't be ordering anything from them that I need like ever...so perhaps something I can forget about and be pleasantly surprised when it shows up?

Wattie Ink seems to be the sweet spot for me when it comes to designs and customer service.

There's Betty Designs...but they place way to much emphasis on their "squad" to create a mystique...when the squad is like 300 deep it's fucking dumb when you like designs and are wanting to hook up your wife/fiancee with cool cycle kit. Whereas some brands sell their pro-kits via pre-order.

So if you have anything with Sweet designs for aggressive males, send them over.

I was looking at these also; what are the examples of the unbelievable bad customer service?

I got the “captain” tri suit from WynRepublic and all I can say is WOW.. it’s incredible, really and truly it’s worth the extra money. But at the same time they’re a small business comparatively speaking with the Garneau, TYR, desoto’s of the world. So I understand materials cost, and Profit margin and took my chance. I thought their customer service was fantastic, I got in touch with them about sizing because I’m right between sizes. I’m 5’9 175lbs 33 waist 42chest. But they were very helpful and offered sizing advice and it fits like a dream.

Thank you so much for the tip of Wyn Republic! Absolutely love their design and great customer service, excited to get a suit from them! Getting the men's champagne aero+ sleeved tri suit, it's sold out but a quick message via facebook and they told me I could reserve one since they are restocking.

I love DeSoto products, not sure if they have a long sleeve tri suit but certainly look them up. I also use Nimblewear for my team kit, outstanding products but a bit on the higher side price-wise.

We would like to add our name to the list of "smaller" triathlon brands. While we have been in business for 29 years, we remain a small company intentionally. We have a staff of 20 people and all the product you buy from us is made by us right here in downstairs from where I am sitting.

Ownway apparel, simply the best. I'm not sponsored by them, they just helped me make my kit and I love it and get compliments on it every race I do.

I’m a Wyn Republic junkie. Got their Rayure tri suit in May and since then have accumulated 3 cycling kits among other accessories. Their stuff is the bomb. And I’m very picky about tri and cycling clothing.

Regarding the Tri-Suits: I am dead sure that the quality/aero capabilties of your product are great, it's just that for me, design wise desoto is a little bit lacking behind.

I appreciate your input. I take no offense to any constructive comments. Good news is that is the easy part to change. We can customize the design for you with your own designs, colors, and graphics. Email me for details. Emilio@desotosport.com

www.sundried.com

A young brand with tri-suits designed by seasoned triathletes who know what you want from your triathlon clothing.

Sleek appearance, smart design, personal customer service as it's still a small brand. And they ship all over the world.

Check out Fe226 - very cool looking suits, very feature rich, extremely pricey. I guess I would've gotten one, if Ryzon didn't happen to run a sale on last year's Myth.

I have owned a lot of kits in my 20 years of cycling and triathlon and my Wyn Republic kit is the best. Absolutely superb design, fit and feel.
My Cuore tri suit is a close second.

I would rabidly second all the praise for Wyn Republic. I was nervous to pull the trigger on the first cycling kit of theirs I purchased (price point) but I was wild about the design. An avalanche followed with tri suit (SO comfortalbe, no fidgeting required and no chafing through 70.3 and Iron-distance races plus great coverage and pockets!) and then several more cycling kits. The stuff is just so good-looking (and flattering!), comfortable, breathable and chafe-resistant. Would also parrot the comments on strong customer service from their team. Hands down worth the money bc it's only marginally more than other similar brands (if at all) and the quality is head and shoulders ahead of those.

That being said, I've heard good things about Fusion (Lange raced Kona in their suit) and have also accumulated some Smashfest Queen products (I like their designs and they offer Men's cuts/styles). Would also put ROKA out there.
