What horrible luck. Please give her my best wishes. I broke my wrist hiking 8 months ago so I can understand a little bit what she's going through (I went seven weeks with no swimming!)... Hopefully she will be back in the pool as soon as the surgical wound closes. Swift healing, Jenn!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and well wishes. Jenn had successful surgery today and the prognosis for a full recovery is very very high. The doctor said things could not have gone better. We were very lucky to be connected local in the medical community and we got a top notch doc to scrub in. Now we've just got to figure out how to deal with how to wire life up so everyone does not go crazy over the next 12 weeks. Jenn gets to wear pink taffeta (gag) this weekend at a wedding. The boot will make a nice accessory and be great for pictures.

The beatings will continue until morale improves

Thanks everyone. I'm back up...albeit with a titanium rod and really only hobbling around on one foot for the next six-twelve weeks. As such, I believe any biking/running brikes are out for a while. But the doc did say if I played well with the PT I could be swimming again in six weeks.

I really appreciate everyone's well wishes and will happily join any of the PNWers on a Trophy/Molly Moon's run anytime!

I'm also really looking forward to hearing the IMC stories as I was asking Bryan for updates as soon as I was out of surgery yesterday.
