Bernard Lagat barely notices you as he runs by on his recovery run...

He and Abdi run on my street quite often... it's a little bit of magic to watch them in action...

But really- they both will look me straight in the eyes, say hello, and wave as they go by in a blur...

I love watching really fast runners. At Badwater I watched the leaders go by and I was in awe. Something to see. I can't wait for the sprinters at the Olympics.

I love watching fast runners too. We've got some really good runners in my university town, they are just amazing. I usually like to run about the same time the men's cc or track teams are out, and thankfully I make sure we're always running the opposite direction! They always say "hi" though....


sometimes I run that fast, but then I wake up

you know you're running slow when an overweight couch potato pug runs ahead and then pauses, turns back to see if you're still alive, and then keeps on running way ahead of you.

hahaha!!! My 3 little chunkers can out run me anyday!!! The best is post run/play snuggle time!!

You know you're running slow when...your ten year old daughter says, "I can't wait to do a marathon with you mom. Don't worry, I'll wait for you."

You know you're running slow when your 6 min mile husband comments on your running pal's slow run pace of 12 min miles by saying 'is that really still running?" cuz he forgets you actually run that slow too!!
