Womens rule!

While this isn't triathlon related it is endurance sports related. Julie Fingar was the overall winner of Headlands 100 Mile Trail Run. By 20 minutes. Endurance running is a great equalizer.

Women have established a history of being overall winners of 100 mile runs including Pam Reed twice winning Badwater 135.

Something to consider for you speedy womens.

Isn't it amazing to think that there were no women's Olympic running events over 800 m until 1972 and women couldn't enter the Boston? In theory women can/should win long enduro running and cold water enduro swimming races based on what we now know about physiology.

Hey, how many males could take the pain of childbirth? :-)

And yet, they still don't allow women in the Olympics to swim further than 800m in the pool. Even though the men swim the 1500 in the pool, and both genders swim the same distance in OW events.
