Hi All!

I am thinking about buying a new bike for next season. Does anybody have a Trek Equinox? If so, do you like it??

Thanks!

I purchased one last fall. Updated it with a compact crank (I live in a hilly area). The bike is very fast and responsive. The only issue was some slippage on the seat mast but Trek has been excellent working with my LBS to resolve the issue. Added bonus is that they are rare in races making them easy to find in transition. Let me know if you need more info...I have thousands of miles on it already...

Is it a fairly aggressive set up, or more relaxed? And how doe sit fit, sizewise? I am a 54 in Trek, typically...does that equate to a small or medium, IYO?

I definitely have an aggressive set up. I am on a 49" frame and I am 5'6". I have all but one spacer removed on the stem. I would absolutely have a fitting with your LBS. Fortunately, we have an excellent triathlete at our store who fitted me. I thought the frame was going to be a little small but it worked out perfectly. I have won my age group in the last two Olympic triathlons I did for fun...no taper (I am training for IM AZ) averaging 20mph or more (I am 41 years old). Hope that helps...
