I am excited (with reservations) because I'm shy in real life and not a fan of seeing myself on the screen.

On the upside, the invite converts to local time so I don't have to do the thinking!

There is also a VERY good chance of cameos - boys and a dog. I'll make sure the boys are wearing clothes (yes, it's become an issue). 🙄

I mean naked kids = less laundry, so there's a silver lining?

I tried - still stuck at the office so I installed hangouts on my phone and attempted to join in. Farthest I got was seeing my own mug on the screen with a "join call" button, which - when pressed - makes my phone emit a sad noise and tell me "you cannot join the call".

Since my stupid work server is laggy AF this evening I'm going to finish up the thing I'm currently working on, go the heck home, and go for a run. Sorry I missed you all!

I feel you. Still not permitted to work from home, and putting in about an extra day's worth of hours each week. I finally made it home by about 7:15pm, but since I still needed to get out for a run - and wanted to do that before it got down below freezing, if possible - there just wasn't time to stop in. Thursdays are terrible, but maybe I'll make one some day.
