SOAS run shorts
I have been meaning to post this since March (can you believe it?) and finally remembered. i always remember on a run but then get back and poof! gone. :) so, i got 2 pair of run shorts. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the material especially living in the tropics as it doesn't seem to stick to me as much as nylon (Nike Tempos) even though i wring them out (sweat) at the end of a run. so big plus there.

but there seems to be some kind of pocket on the waistband of the back of them? mine opens down. both pair of shorts. i'd think it was a fluke but this "pocket:" opens downwards on both pair. can someone help me to figure out WTH this thing is? did i get 2 bad pair of shorts? is my imagination/logic missing? when i wear the tri top it isn't an issue because there is a pocket in the tri top but these shorts have me scratching my haid.

I don't own the shorts, but your question piqued my interest, so I had a look at the website.

If you're referring to the spot where the black fabric meets the grey - with what appears to be reflective piping at the edge - I think you'll find that's actually just for ventilation and to allow freedom of movement. I have similar vents on the upper back of a couple of running & cycling jackets.

I could be wrong, though.

Edited to add: the manufacturer's description doesn't say anything about pockets, either, and that would definitely be a feature they'd mention.

I am wearing shorts very seldom, only when I am running in summer. I think that sports pants are better 'cause you don't have to show your "perfect" legs. As about the pockets, I have never had such shorts.
