Ok, so I technically haven't ran since the beginning of July. Running was my first love so my body and muscles know what to do when I ask them to perform. Here's the deal. I have agreed to be QRgirls runner in an Oly next week (10k). I know that I can shuffle a 5K right now between 9-10min a mile easy sqeezy.....stack on another 5K....and its going to hurt.
Let me note prior to my question, that I know what I'm about to ask my body to do isn't the smartest thing in the world, but knowing my background in running this is something I know I can do injury free.
I have 9 days to try to get my body to listen to me ask it to do 10K (hopefully holding my easy squeezy pace). What are your suggestions on daily training to see that this happens?
Now, I just hope we get our ST Kits in time so I can look a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! :)
