Cycling shorts suggestions

Anyone have a pair that they love? Looking on amazon and it seems PI are the ones to go for but figured I'd check here. I just want them for commuting so they don't need to be fancy nor snazzy, just comfortable. Capri are also okay.

I am a big fan of pearl izumi sugar shorts.

for long rides I wear the desoto 400 mile shorts. And for shorter rides and tris, the desoto forza. I have found that a lot of shorts (including the 5-6 pairs of PI) I have tried have too much padding. The 400 mile is perfect.

X2 on the 400 mile shorts. I rode in some PI last night and the bits hurt. Too much padding. I also have a pair of Castelli knickers that I like a lot.

I live in the Pearl Izumi ones - I'm up to 4 pairs. Super comfortable and wash well.

Unfortunately I accidentlly mixed mine up with my fiance's in the wash... hard to tell apart visually (but for a printed tag in the back) but DEFINITELY felt a wrong-shaped chamois when in spin. Oh balls...

I'm probably too late for this, but I recommend Shebeest http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodSB_3002.html

Had some issues with abrasion/tearing so did tons of research to find the solution. Fits me so well, much better than my Pearl Izumi. No gapping around the crotch that I get with most shorts.
