I swear next year I will do the full 100 miles with you. I'd do it this year but it's a week before IMAZ... so it's the metric for me. Kinda disappointed, actually.

It always sells out at once (in January), but...

In the two weeks prior to the event, I always see messages from training partners, the Velo Girls listserv, etc. - people who need to bail and are willing to transfer/sell their entry. (Yes - the Valley Spokesmen allow sale/transfer of a Cinderella entry, and they make it pretty easy. See "How to transfer your 2008 registration" at the site below.)

You pay one fee and you can do either the metric *or* you can tack on the extra loop (by Altamont Pass as I understand) to make it 100 miles. You don't indicate which one you're doing, when you sign up. So, the whole thing is sold out right now.

If you are on any Bay Area triathlon club listservs, or, especially, on the Velo Girls listserv, mark my words. About 20 days from now, at least one person a day will be posting, "Cinderella entry up for sale..."
