Bike Shorts
My gf needs new bike shorts. She can't find the type she likes at any places around here. What she likes are these Pearl Izumi 3D Pro shorts? Evidently she likes that the pad is wide inside, whereas everything she is finding is thin. (I'm not talking thickness of the pad, but it's width.) Is this making sense?

She seems to think Pearl Izumi is not selling these particular shorts anymore.

Have any of you cared about this issue and found ones that have wider padding that I could tell her about?

Merci.

I don't know these particular shorts, but she might try the Pearl Izumi outlet store. A call to them might find something.

I like Voler and they have 2 or 3 different pads.

Louis Garneau has cycling shorts with wider chamois. Very comfortable shorts.

If you check their website under the details for each pair of shorts it will show a pic of the chamois that comes with that particular pair.

There are also Race 3D, Tour 3D, and Elite 3D style pads available... I have always had good luck with the sugar shorts, which have the tour 3d, but I also like the attack, which have the race. Both are pretty "wide"

I don't know how wide the Pearl pad is, but I compared my Zoots to my other bike shorts and it has the widest pad.

I believe Pearl Izumi has upgraded to "4D Pro" chamois now. Perhaps the 3D shorts are still available from online sites. I agree, I liked the 3D pad.
