Not just triathlon. Our roadie goup has attracted a bunch of new members this year - over half are women.

Any company that ignores this trend is making a huge mistake. And by "catering to females", that had better be more than just offering men's gear in pink.

Pretty soon those female triathletes will want their own triathlon forum!

I don't think it takes a business degree to understand that women buy stuff. People can stand around being confused about why women are different than men OR they can look at the situation for what it is and offer the products women want to buy. Women shop period end of story. What more do you need to know to get on board?

And women are, hands down, the best viral marketing tool you could ever design. A woman has a positive experience with something and she tells all her friends. What guys sits in the break room at work talking about how slow he went at his first triathlon, but is totally jazzed about it and can't believe how well those new tri shorts worked out that he bought from XYZ shop?
