Anyone been to this resort and have thoughts? Looks nice enough, but pictures can be deceiving…
Jamaica is a shithole.
I did Sandals in Grenada 2 years ago. I talked with a lot of “seasoned” Sandals travelers while there, trying to decide if I wanted to try other Sandals locations. The consensus was that besides Grenada, Whitehouse/South Shore was the best. For all that is worth.

We went there for a week in 2007 and it was awesome! It’s a bit of a hike from the Montego Bay airport, and you do have to go through some really shitty parts of Jamaica on some shitty/bumpy roads, but you’ll probably make a beer stop halfway and once you get there it’s well worth it…at least 12 years ago it was!

The wife and I went to Sandals Jamaica 12 years ago to one of the three resorts around Montego Bay. So different resort then where you looking. It was nice at the resorts from what I remember, the food was ok. The resorts were clean, alcohol flowed, and activities were decent.
Would I go back? Probably not to Jamaica. Would I go to a Sandals, sure. We were cash strapped college students that got a stupid all flights included deal the week before Christmas that we purchased in June. Cash flows to our pockets better now, so the bar is raised a bit.
To put things in perspective. We were planning on going to the Caribbean this year. I couldn’t find anything that looked great and cost effective, most likely due to recent hurricanes. We ended up going to one of the Hyatt resorts in Cancun. Flights were cheaper and the food was better.
