Two senior marketing positionsDetails about this position:American Journal Experts (AJE) is dedicated to helping international researchers get published. Our editing, translation, peer review and other services improve the quality of manuscripts and increase the chances of publication. We are a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company looking to add top performers to our fledgling marketing team. We are currently looking to fill two senior marketing positions: Senior Business Development Manager and Senior Online Marketing Manager.
At AJE we take our work seriously, but not ourselves. You'll be surrounded by a bevy of PhDs in a casual, collegiate, and sometimes crazy environment. AJE was recently announced as a winner of the 2011 Sloan Award for workplace flexibility. We maintain an "open office" workplace, where aside from scheduled meetings, you will have the option to work from home. Our Durham office is the hub of activity for project meetings, team gatherings, informal work sessions, xbox gaming and special events.
Applicants for BOTH positions should be:

• tenured marketing professionals with experience managing projects from end to end.
• able to take ownership of multiple projects and make them successful.
• willing to embrace the entrepreneurial environment, where structure is fluid and projects and priorities may shift quickly. We expect the scope of both jobs to change as we continue to grow, and need new hires who are open to new challenges.
• familiar with our space in one way or another. Experience in marketing services vs. consumer products is key. If you also have experience marketing software, we can use that as well. Exposure to international, scientific, publishing or academic markets will definitely help.

Additional Requirements for
Senior Business Development Manager:

• 10+ years of marketing management experience
• MBA graduate with post-MBA work experience preferred
• Position requires specific experience with:
  
  • Creating new enterprise-level partnership agreements
  • Establishing, maintaining and improving partner/affiliate programs
  • Business development, account management
  • Customizing and working deeply with CRM software (e.g. SalesForce)
  • PR planning, writing and targeting press releases
  • Research and business analysis; data mining
  • Project management: developing, implementing and managing from end to end
  • New product/service launch experience

Additional Requirements for
Senior Online Marketing Manager:

• 10+ years of marketing experience (five or more should be specifically online)
• MBA graduate preferred, but not required
• Position requires specific experience with:
  
  • SEO management, strategies and practical implementation.
  • PPC programs; managing, optimization, logistics, best practices.
  • Google Analytics, website metrics and reporting, custom funnels, A/B testing.
  • Intranet development, including working with Drupal, WordPress.
  • Writing web content, working with content management systems. Extra points for additional content experience: white papers, tutorials, articles.
  • Social media applications for business; developing social media plans.
  • Data mining, reporting, business analytics.
  • Project management: developing and implementing marketing programs, campaigns, promotions, web projects.
