Hiring experienced aviation POL (fuels) personnel (prior military a plus) for Germany and Italy. Must secure work permit (we will assist) and pay local taxes.

Also, have similar positions for US expats in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Mojo, I would hire you and Tibbs in a heartbeat for very different reasons if you had experience and were willing. Good luck.

Thanks for the reminder Jordan. Specialized has a number of open positions right now and while we definitely work hard - we also play hard.

For anyone interested please take a look here:
http://www.specialized.com/...sp?pageName=taleo-us

Two open positions right now that might appeal to ST-ers are:

SPORTS MARKETING SPECIALIST
Summary: Specialized seeks a highly motivated cycling enthusiast with a stellar track record in cycling specific team/athlete marketing to develop, maintain and implement sports marketing strategies and build strong relationships with sports marketing assets that are in alignment with Specialized’s goals and key marketing initiatives to maximize return on the significant investment in this area.
MARKETING EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR Summary: Specialized Bicycles seeks a highly motivated cycling enthusiast that is a qualified, responsible and outgoing bike tech maestro who is equally comfortable building bikes for Olympians and organizing equipment for several teams, athletes, and domestic marketing programs. This position provides comprehensive experience for an individual seeking to build a career in sports management and professional cycling support.
Both jobs need a strong Mountain Bike technical background but both will also work with key triathletes and some road teams.

Please PM me if you have questions - or you can apply right through the website.

Thanks!!

Most recently my role is in operations management - hus, my background would be very advantageous to any looking for a highly skilled performer, to run their business.

FWIW, I work for Union Pacific Railroad and our company is hiring for a variety of positions in several states throughout the western 2/3 of the US. Although most of the jobs don't have a 9-5 M-F schedule, some do. And all of the positions include good benefits and decent pay as well as paid gym memberships!! There are entry level labor and train crew positions as well as management and IT positions open in several locations. I am fairly certain that all major railroads, BNSF, NS, CSX, KCS, etc are hiring as well because rail traffic is on the uptick from the recession easing up. I love my career with UP and would suggest this company to anyone that is not afraid to dedicate a little more time than bankers hours. No offense to you bankers, it is just a term most people understand :P

I'm sort of repeating my original post, in case we've all stopped looking at the first page...

This is a Network Marketing opportunity. 30+ yrs of research, flagship product with 80 international patents. We are leaders in the wellness industry with huge growth potential in the tri market. Solid company, generous compensation plan, no risk and fully supported.

If you are success driven, not shy to share a remarkable product or your recovery tips, are willing to work as your own boss, PT or FT for $$ - this could be the opportunity for you. Increase your monthly revenue, why not??

It's not a typical 9-5 though, sorry, no water cooler or boss or being late cause you were out riding...

Bike Industry Designers and Engineers [ In reply to ]

Sorry, Jordan, don't know if this is the type of place to post this. In the past, Dan has allowed me to put them on the main forum every once in awhile.

Anyway, as I received a call from a startup bike company today, and I started to contact my stable of experienced bike industry engineers, I thought I'd put out a call to any others who may have gone independent over the course of the past couple of years. I periodically get contacted by either companies I've worked with (selling engineering tools), or new companies looking for experienced bike industry engineers looking for help.

Please feel free to email me at cprestonoc@yahoo.com and we can start discussions on how I work. At this point, having 4 VERY experienced and talented design, engineering, and manufacturing experienced people to work with, I have a pretty good offering to provide. However, I'm always looking for people with specific talents to the bike industry.

Also, if you have design/engineering experience outside the bike industry, my regular day job provides a large volume of engineering services to people in the aerospace industry, so we may be able to contract you as well. We've got people onsite at places like Boeing, Parker Hannifin, Rockwell, Honeywell, Goodrich, etc...as well as others doing more "consulting" work on their own. Much of our services revolve around Catia design and training (which are not products we sell), NX, and advanced analysis work (NX Advanced Simulation, FEMAP + Nastran, etc.). However, I am moving more into CFD work (we offer CF Design and CFD++), and we just picked up Moldflow for the plastics guys with experience utilizing it.

We always contract with people first (as opposed to hiring full time), but should you be able to expand our services/offerings inside a client, it helps push you to full time status if you desire.

Let me know.

Nice effort Jordan !

This recession has hit more people than I think many believe , if not at the surface definitely not far below.

Good luck to all of those who have had to cut back over the past few years, hope the forum manages to connect many.

Not just staff-level positions either - a good number of management roles too. Shoot me a PM if you want to hear more about IT openings in Central FL.

I'm interested in transitioning into the athletic apparel industry and would love to talk to anyone who may have an opening in that field. I have over 10 years of product marketing management experience. My email is linked to my profile. I didn't see an email listed to respond to Weeman.
Thanks

Hi I am currently looking for work. I have just passed a Masters (with Distinction) in Applied Geographical Information Systems (mainly using ESRI ArcGIS software) having returned to study having been made redundant in the summer of 2009. My BSc was in Geology and I am particularly interested in the use of GIS in hazard/risk modelling and its use in the mineral and energy sectors. My research project was on CCS. I previously worked in Market Research for the same company for almost 10 years first as a Research Executive/Project Manager and then as a Data Analyst/Specifications writer. This involved writing scripts to capture and then analyse market research data including adding statistical testing. I also looked after Corporate Social Responsibility helping the company to carbon neutral status. I am currently in the UK but willing to work anywhere (though outside the EU would need sponsorship etc). I have also looked at PhD scholarships. Willing to anything having grown up on a small family farm and worked part time during my MSc for a landscaping company mainly on building sites - turfing, putting up garden, sheds, fencing, general labouring etc.
Any help or advice career wise would be greatly received such as CV, letters, interviews. So far only one interview from all the applications sent since the end of September.
Kind regards (and thanks Jordan),
Tim
Ps. I am a complete bike/sports equipment geek.

My name is David Glenn.
I recently relocated to the east bay of SF with my wife's job relo.

A bit about myself professionally:
- 17 years of financial experience
- Last 10 years at Kraft Foods; most recently finance leader on the Ready to eat Jell-O brand, a $400MM business
- Directly supported or led finance for marketing, manufacturing, sales, capital investment, pricing and new products
- Extremely strong analytical background; very effective in complex and diverse organizations
- Microsoft Office, SAP, Business Objects, Oracle Financials, Hyperion Essbase experience

I am targeting a Senior Manager or (heavy) Manager role in Finance in a Consumer Packaged Goods company.
While I'd really prefer to find a position in the east bay, I am looking elsewhere (SF, south bay, etc.) as well.
