The Penticton Triathlon Race Society requires a dynamic, highly qualified individual to take on the role of Race Director/General Manager and to plan and manage all aspects of the Challenge Penticton triathlon and related events.

The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in business communications, event planning and/or sports marketing and 10 years experience, including 3 to 5 years in a senior management capacity with a similar operation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must have a demonstrated record of success in delivering world-class events.

The Society is seeking proven leadership and team building skills, the ability to conceptualize and implement strategic initiatives, strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Society's board of directors, the successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to manage at all organization levels, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, excellent computer literacy, strong finance and project management knowledge, extensive experience working with volunteers in a not-for-profit setting and triathlon experience as an athlete.
